Open Season Update #2

OPM has officially extended Open Season for PSHB participants through Dec. 13 at 11:59pm EST.

To assist our members and potential members, the NALC Health Benefit Plan’s Open Season extended hours will also continue through the extended dates.

Please note: The extended timeframe will present challenges for the Plan and many other PSHB insurers. Specifically, the timeline to reconcile eligibility files for ID card printing and mailing will be extremely taxed. This impact may result in members not receiving their new ID card before the new plan year.  As such, we strongly recommending that all existing Health Benefit Plan members create a HBP member portal account so they can download and/or print a temporary card on January 1, 2025. Unfortunately, members new to our plan for 2025 will not have this same ability, so they will need to call Customer Service to obtain the information if they need medical care before their new member ID card arrives.
